1962
Antonis A. Moussamas SA was founded by Antonis Mousamas, an entrepreneur already successful in the quarry sector. He built the Lycabettus Hotel on Valaoritou Street with the famous “Loukoulos” restaurant on the ground floor.
1978
Construction started at the Holiday Inn hotel, on Michalakopoulou street, with a capacity of 193 rooms.
1980
The Holiday Inn opened its doors. It was the first hotel of the Intercontinental group and the first hotel under the Holiday Inn brand in Greece.
1990
The Hellenic Palace luxury Hotel in Agios Nikolaos was built on Crete, comprising of 155 rooms.
2001
The Holiday Suites hotel started operating. The company bought and fully renovated an older hotel building, on Arnis street in Ilissia. This was one of the first boutique hotels in Greece with 34 spacious suites.
2004
Another franchised Holiday Inn, this time near the airport started operating with 194 rooms
2008
The Holiday Inn on Michalokopoulou street was completely refurbished and rebranded as Crowne Plaza Athens City Centre. It is the first hotel in Greece under the internationally renowned brand name of the luxury chain (a member of the IHG group)
2017
Full renovation of the Holiday Suites Arnis Street
2018
Renovation of the lobby bar area, under the new IHG open lobby concept, at the Holiday Inn Athens Attica Airport West Renovation of the largest conference room at the Crowne Plaza Athens City Centre with spectacular lighting effects and state of the art technology
